In December 2018, Government announced the entire country will benefit from Local Industrial Strategies (LISs). Local Enterprise Partnerships (LEPs) were asked to lead this process on behalf of local areas through negotiation with Government. Coast to Capital is part of the Wave 3 group of LEPs to produce a LIS.
We set up a Programme Group to oversee the development of our LIS. The group is leading the development of an evidenced-based understanding of how our local economy works and the specific opportunities it presents for UK productivity, beyond our departure from the European Union.
Governance & Structure
The LIS Programme Group is comprised of senior members from Coast to Capital and Local Authority partners. The LIS programme is being managed by our Chief Executive, Jonathan Sharrock, who has been appointed the Senior Responsible Owner (SRO) by the Coast to Capital Board.
