Summary of Project

The Aldingbourne Trust’s Country Centre provides days out for families to explore their farm, activity areas and café. Located near Chichester, the site has seen increasing visitor numbers over the last five years welcoming 60,000 visitors within 12 months as of the end of 2016. The limited capacity of the facilities was capping any progress that can be made for visitor enjoyment and new business opportunities.

The Local Growth Fund awarded to this project has contributed to the delivery of a new centre with extended facilities that is encouraging visitors to take advantage of a new café and retail area as well as paving the way for expansion throughout the rest of the Centre. The new purpose built building is also catering for businesses in need of smart and top of the range conference rooms for meetings and presentations.

The Centre will be a significant tourist attraction that will assist economic growth and new business opportunities for the future, benefitting the local area by encouraging out of area visitors and spend.
