Enhancement of sustainable travel facilties in West Sussex through implementaion of two schemes. The smaller scheme, Downs Link which consists of a series of improvements such as surfacing of footpath, improved crossings and installation of steps and boardwalk) on the Public Rights of Way network in West Sussex. The larger scale scheme, NCN2 cycle route, will create a direct cycle facility between Littlehampton and Bognor Regis via the A259.

Summary of Project
The Downs Link is a 37 mile public route used by walkers, cyclists and horse riders. It connects the North Downs in Surrey and the South Downs in West Sussex. Important works are taking place along the route to improve surfacing, crossings, signage and accessibility to users.
This project will also create 4.35km of new cycle ways, directly connecting Littlehampton and Bognor Regis via the A259.
Local Growth Funds are used throughout this project.
