Summary of Project
Brighton University and local business Ricardo, currently share facilities used for engineering research, innovation and training. The scope for growth in its current situation is very limited. As the region has a high concentration of higher value advanced engineering companies in the vicinity, the new Centre will allow an advance in important research and the high demand for specialist engineers.
The Local Growth Fund, along with some commercial funding will go towards meeting the cost of the research facilities in the new building.
Once completed and operational, the resulting highly qualified engineers to be trained at this facility, will meet the demands for staff in the local area and contribute to advances in manufacture and environmental technologies.
