Businesses are being urged to sign up early to support next year's Big Bang Fair South East.

Businesses are being urged by Coast to Capital Local Enterprise Partnership to sign up early to support next year's Big Bang Fair South East.

The action-packed day of inspirational activities, shows and workshops is aimed at increasing young people's enthusiasm for science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM) and encourages them to consider careers in industries where STEM skills are important.

Already this year, 4,000+ young people attended the annual event and organisers hope next year's offering will attract even more young people. The 2015 event, which will take place in the South of England Showground in Tuesday 30 June, is being supported by a contribution from Coast to Capital, the local enterprise partnership for Brighton and Hove, Croydon, Gatwick Diamond, Lewes and West Sussex.

"By supporting the Big Bang Fair South East, businesses will be forging links with their future workforce," said Hannah Gosling, programme manager at Coast to Capital. "Companies can also help make a positive difference to young people and their teachers by showcasing their innovative business."

There are many ways businesses can support the event from judging at the National Science and Engineering Competition to running an interactive exhibit, activity or workshop. "Companies can also contribute to prizes, give career talks, provide services or equipment and even be one of the event sponsors," Ms Gosling added.

Any businesses interested in supporting this event, should email hannah.gosling@coast2capital.org.uk. For more information about the event, visit www.thebigbangfair.co.uk/southeast
