The South East winners and highly commended entries were announced at the high profile event at HMS President in London.

Coast to Capital was pleased to sponsor the South East regional final of the National Apprenticeship Awards ceremony on 21st October 2015.

 

The National Apprenticeship Awards, now in their 12th year, celebrate the success of the country's most exceptional apprentices and apprenticeship employers.

 

The South East winners and highly commended entries were announced at the high profile event at HMS President in London.

 

Ron Crank, Chief Executive of Coast to Capital LEP, presented Martha Kempsford with the Apprenticeship Champion of the Year award and announced Snow-Camp as winners of the Unilever Small Employer of the Year at the event.

 

He said: "I would like to congratulate all the South East winners on their achievements. They deserve to be rewarded for their efforts. There has never been a better time to become an apprentice or employ one."

 

Other winners on the night for the South East were:

  • McDonald's Award for Intermediate Apprentice of the Year: Freya Ward, Napier Partnership Ltd. Highly commended: Sophie Hannington, Hampshire County Council.
  • EAL Award for Advanced Apprentice of the Year: Yasmin Stageman, IBM. Highly commended: Emma Pople, IBM; Tarnya Gardiner, Base Connections Telemarketing Ltd.
  • The Nuclear Decommissioning Site Licence Companies Award for the Higher Apprentice of the Year: Thomas Cope, IBM. Highly commended: Daniel Brown, Visa Europe.
  • BAE Systems Award for Large Employer of the Year: Arqiva. Highly commended in this category are: SGN.
  • BT Award for Macro Employer of the Year: Kent County Council. Highly commended: British Army; KFC GB Ltd.
  • EDF Energy Award for Newcomer SME of the Year: Travelbag. Highly commended: Andreas Stihl Ltd.
  • Rolls-Royce Award for Newcomer Large Employer of the Year: Be Wiser Insurance.

 

Following the regional ceremonies, the winners from each category in all 11 areas of England will have their entries sent for national judging, and three from each category will be selected as national finalists.

 

The apprenticeship employer entries that were judged to be the very best of the best will have the additional honour of featuring in the Top 100 Apprenticeship Employers list.

 

The national award winners and Top 100 Employers will be revealed at a ceremony held in January 2016 at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London.
