The Business Navigator service is part of the Growth Hub Network which now covers the whole of England. It was set up to support the growth and prosperity of the Coast to Capital region by helping new start-ups, entrepreneurs and established businesses quickly find the most relevant support and information.
This is currently delivered through the Business Navigator website and includes an online directory of business support organisations, funding and grant schemes, a calendar of local business events, resources and videos. Behind the scenes there is also a team of business navigators who provide more personal advice.
One local business which has benefited from the navigator service is Across Safety Development based in Chichester, West Sussex. It provides risk management solutions tailored to the aviation industry.
Jennie Verrinder was introduced to Claire Atkinson, senior business navigator, at a Chichester Chamber event. At the time their business was in the process of growing and looking for general business support and advice around grants and funding within the sector.
Jennie said: "There's a vast amount of support available but it's difficult to know where to start and where to find it can be a challenge. A great deal of time was saved from researching myself as Claire quickly understood our business needs and put me in touch with the right people that could help us grow the business.
