Coast to Capital Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) is calling for the views of local residents and businesses on two major road schemes to ease congestion in West Sussex.

Improvements along the A259 between Littlehampton and Goring and the new A284 Lyminster Bypass, which will improve journey time reliability and boost the local economy, have already been agreed in principle by Coast to Capital and its Local Transport Body (LTB).

West Sussex County Council has now submitted business cases for the two proposals to Coast to Capital LEP which will assess whether they should receive the money that has been earmarked for them.

Martin Heffer, Coast to Capital Board Member and a member of the LTB, said: "Our consultation is about making sure the schemes offer value for money and we really do value people's opinions so we can make an informed decision on whether funding should be approved for the upgrades."
