Hundreds of jobs created by COVID-19 Business Recovery Grants

The grant scheme, 'Business Recovery Grants' was launched to provide businesses in West Sussex, Brighton & Hove, East Surrey, Croydon, or Lewes District with funding of between £10,000 and £170,000. The programme provided up to 50% of an expansion project for organisations that could demonstrate a clear link to COVID-19 recovery and growth.

 

The team worked tirelessly to support as many businesses as possible and now the full funding pot has been allocated.

 

• In Horsham, £28,904 was awarded to Monza Sports Tuning for investment in sustainable technology through the purchase and installation of solar panels
• In Worthing, Nordell was awarded £169,610 towards several manufacturing machines
• In Brighton, £170,000 was awarded to The Carnival Fun Company (Globalls) to help create two new unique premises

 

Malcolm Brabon, SME Manager at Coast to Capital said:

 

“We recognise that as a result of the pandemic, many businesses are still in need of support as we look towards economic recovery. I am pleased that we are able provide some relief via our Business Recovery Grants and look forward to seeing what these businesses are able to achieve in the coming months.”

"The Business Recovery Grant from Coast to Capital makes the investment in solar panels, battery storage, energy efficient lighting, heating and electric charging financially achievable, it also makes us a more attractive proposition for electric vehicle franchise partnerships, provides business resilience against another COVID outbreak, increases our options for growth, enables us to employ further staff, and makes our business more sustainable going forward."
