Coast to Capital has awarded £500,000 to the Bognor Regis Creative Digital Hub. The funding will contribute to the cost of turning the Hub spaces at Bognor Regis railway station into an exciting collaborative workspace for creative and digital businesses.
The Hub’s aim is to create high value jobs in the creative digital sector by providing a shared workspace for up to 150 businesses. It will provide a place where start-ups and freelancers can work side by side, share facilities and network and have access to training and support. The hub will also be strategically linked to the development of the University’s Engineering and Digital Technology Park and could potentially provide additional space for creative digital students and graduates.
The work to fit out the Creative Digital Hub is due to begin in summer 2018, and is planned to open in the autumn. The procurement of an operator for the Hub has been successfully concluded, and the appointment will be announced shortly.
Jonathan Sharrock, Chief Executive at Coast to Capital said:
