The data shows that the LEP’s Careers Hub is achieving above the national average in three strategic benchmarks as set by the Government’s Careers Strategy.
The benchmarks assess the careers programme offered, how the curriculum is linked to careers, experienced of workplaces, as well as learning from career and labour market information.
In Brighton, the Careers Hub provision supports 18 institutions including two FE colleges, five SEND schools and 10 mainstream schools. Over the last year, young people have been able to access numerous initiatives including a series of live employer broadcasts with themes aimed to raise awareness of varying career paths, as well as a virtual work experience programme focused on roles within construction and green skills.
Employers supporting these initiatives include The Body Shop, Gatwick Airport, Pfizer, Barfoots, Rolls Royce and the Surrey Wildlife Trust.

The Careers Hub brings together schools, colleges, employers, and apprenticeship providers across the region with the aim to make it easier for schools and colleges to improve how they prepare young people for their next steps.
