We believe that a second runway at Gatwick represents the better option, and would be cheaper and easier to build.
Gatwick Airport and the businesses in the surrounding area are a major driver of growth in our regional economy. The Gatwick economy makes up nearly half of our regional economy and is worth around £23bn. We will continue to work very closely with Gatwick to ensure that the airport continues to benefit the region.
